Welcome to Maths Craft New Zealand

Making mathematics accessible through craft

Are you a maths teacher?

Maths Craft in a Box orders are now closed for our first batch of Boxes for 2024. We will be releasing an entirely new Box later this year! You can sign up to our mailing list and be the first to hear about it.

In 2022 we launched Maths Craft in a Box, an entirely free, self-contained Box dedicated to exploring the fascinating world of fractals in the classroom. The response was overwhelming and our first batch of 200 Boxes "sold out" in less than two days!

Meet Maths Craft New Zealand!

We are a non-profit initiative created and run by mathematicians Dr Jeanette McLeod and Dr Phil Wilson with the help of our expert Maths Craft team, and supported by some of the biggest names in science & education in Aotearoa.

We are passionate about helping everyone — young and old, maths fans and maths-phobes, the crafty and the curious — to find the fun, creativity, and beauty in mathematics through the medium of craft. We run public Maths Craft events, offer crafty downloadable activities, and provide classroom resources for teachers — like our brand new Maths Craft in a Box!

Maths Craft Events

Maths Craft runs public events all over Aotearoa New Zealand celebrating the links between mathematics and craft.
